Miglas is a premier, hand-crafted loupe developed specifically for the offset printing industry. It integrates a 12x, wide angle, Flat-field Beta Lens and 3 high-intensity LEDs powered by 2 12V batteries (included) It is handcrafted in multiple options of wood and finished in layers of epoxy resin to seal the beauty and preserve the durability of the unit.
Oak Miglas
The Oak Miglas is the original Miglas Loupe. The top and bottom of the loupe are carved from select pieces of Oak, hand picked for their beautiful grain and are affixed to the Mahogany body (housing the electronics). The entire wood body of the Miglas is then hand coated with layers of lustrous epoxy resin to strengthen the Miglas and enhance the beautiful wood grains.
Granadillo Miglas
This Miglas is also limited edition, each being numbered out of the total. The top and bottom of the loupe are carved from beautiful Granadillo selections and are affixed to the Mahogany body (housing the electronics) and then hand coated with layers of lustrous epoxy resin to strengthen the Miglas and enhance the beautiful and very unique wood grain.
Cherry Miglas
The Cherry Miglas is a limited edition Miglas Loupe. The top and bottom of the loupe are carved from memorable selections of Cherry wood, hand picked for their beautiful grain and are affixed to the Mahogany body (housing the electronics) and then hand coated with layers of lustrous epoxy resin to strengthen the Miglas and enhance the beautiful wood grain.
Cocobolo Miglas
The Cocobolo Miglas is the latest, Limited Edition Miglas. The top and bottom of the loupe are carved from select pieces of Cocobolo wood, a beautiful tropical hardwood from Central America and are affixed to a Maple body (housing the electronics); The pairing manifests a stunning contrast. The entire wood body of the Miglas is then hand coated with layers of lustrous epoxy resin to strengthen the Miglas and enhance the beautiful wood grains.
